The Project

Fake OOH with cinematic realism.

Blending real footage with CGI and VFX to create believable Fake Out-of-Home moments.

Fake Out-of-Home (FOOH) films have become a powerful format for digital advertising — blending real urban environments with CGI and VFX to create spectacular, larger-than-life product moments.

For Samsung’s Bespoke Jet™ AI campaign, the concept plays with the product’s extreme suction power by integrating the vacuum directly into the cityscape. Buildings, skies and surrounding elements appear to react to the jet’s force, creating the illusion of a massive real-world installation.

A key challenge in FOOH productions is maintaining a delicate balance: the effect must feel physically believable while clearly exceeding the limits of reality. Achieving this requires a combination of real footage, practical effects and carefully integrated CGI and VFX.

To enhance realism, the scene was filmed in a real location and supported by practical on-set effects such as moving leaves and environmental particles. These elements create natural motion and interaction, later extended through CGI and compositing.

As Director of Post Production, my role was to bridge creative concept, technical execution and production partners — ensuring the final film achieves cinematic realism while maintaining the viral, attention-driven nature of the FOOH format.

The project is part of a broader series of FOOH productions created for multiple brands, exploring how products can interact with real environments in visually striking and highly shareable ways.
